Michael Jackson had a special link to the city of Michael Jackson had a special link to the city of Philadelphia, PA. The Jacksons recorded two albums at the famous Philadelphia International Records with producers Gamble & Huff In October 1979, as the band was touring at the Spectrum, Michael showed up at Woodard's Barber Shop, a West Philadelphia barber who had cut the hair of some of biggest celebrities. His most famous head was Michael Jackson. "He walked in the door, everybody's mouths wide open…nobody could believe it," recalled owner Robert "Woody" Woodard after Michael's passing. The barber was even able to pose for two photos as Michael sat behind the wheel of Woody's classic 1947 Cadillac. Those pictures remain prominently fixed to the wall of the aged shop.

The Jumbo Floating Restaurant was a legendary and The Jumbo Floating Restaurant was a legendary and iconic restaurant in Hong Kong Bay, opened in 1976, that represented the very essence of luxury. It was designed like an imperial palace and had welcomed famous guests such as Queen Elizabeth II and Tom Cruise for many years. It also served as a backdrop for several films, including a James Bond movie. The Jumbo Kingdom was a huge floating ship in Aberdeen Harbour and during his stay in Hong Kong, in October 1987, Michael Jackson took pictures in a sampan in front of this floating restaurant (not sure if he was a guest)

Yesterday, I went to the Pop-Rock Icons exhibition Yesterday, I went to the Pop-Rock Icons exhibition, that is taking place at the 7th arrondissement city hall in Paris until December 29, 2025. It's a beautiful photos exhibition by @gaelle.ghesquiere who photographed some of the biggest stars on stage: Madonna, David Bowie, Bruce Springsteen, Lenny Kravitz, the Rolling Stones, Kylie Minogue, ... and of course, Michael Jackson when the HIStory Tour was in Paris in June 1997. The exhibition is free, open to everyone, and the photographer is there in the afternoons to share stories about the artists. Only a few days left to enjoy it and buy some prints at very reasonable prices. 🎄🎁🎀📷 And because Christmas is around the corner, I have a little giveaway for you.
